However, Pattern + Grid World feels as much like a complete work as its full-length predecessor, from the engine-revving opener "Clay" to the squelching closer "Physics For Everyone!" And this despite its ultra-short (barely 19 minutes) runtime.
However, Pattern + Grid World doesn’t feel like it’s intended to be taken as any kind of grand statement or new direction, but more as a companion to Cosmograma - made up of ideas born from the same mould as that record but that couldn’t quite find a place on the LP.
It appears FlyLo has reined in some of the sprawling, polymathic impulses that prompted him to get the harp out of the cupboard for previous releases.
QUICK, you have to sum up Flying Lotus' sound!!!
'Ah, okay! Uh, how much time do I get?'
I dunno, 20 minutes?
OOOoOOo FLYING LOTUS, YOU'RE KILLING ME D:
I decided to listen to a Flying Lotus EP today because why not lol, and honestly, it's pretty solid lmao. I'm a big fan of the guy, Flying Lotus, music! his music honestly inspires me to make IDM glitch hop type beats, and i'm really glad that i listen to his music and have vinyl/cds of his eps/albums :>
Trippy EP cover though, i love it lol
