Pitchfork

However, Pattern + Grid World feels as much like a complete work as its full-length predecessor, from the engine-revving opener "Clay" to the squelching closer "Physics For Everyone!" And this despite its ultra-short (barely 19 minutes) runtime.

Drowned in Sound

However, Pattern + Grid World doesn’t feel like it’s intended to be taken as any kind of grand statement or new direction, but more as a companion to Cosmograma - made up of ideas born from the same mould as that record but that couldn’t quite find a place on the LP.

Tiny Mix Tapes

It appears FlyLo has reined in some of the sprawling, polymathic impulses that prompted him to get the harp out of the cupboard for previous releases.

Just a cool listen, nothing more nothing less

Good EP, a little underwhelming but I still enjoyed it. Sounds sort of like Cosmogramma leftovers.

A very nice EP that sounds perfect for an 8-bit video game. Pattern+Grid World ends with its best song, Physics for Everyone!, and the Japanese bonus track is good, but not as good as the actual tracks on the EP.

Killer Mike's "Swimming" came from here (as "Camera day") and was an Adult Swim single; while Jurassic Notion / M Theory is another superb take.
