The polished pleasantness of most of the Dead's latter-day studio recordings is depressing coming from these erstwhile pranksters.
Nothing amazing, but overall a cool collection of Grateful Dead songs and great comeback album after 7 year hiatus. In my opinion, this is the only 80s Grateful Dead album worth listening to. I really enjoyed the instrumentals and rhythms on some of the tracks.

Altogether more rich and coherent than releases over the prior ten years.
