Desireless has one great achievement: It makes Dave Matthews Band sound positively edgy in comparison.
It's an interesting debut album, but at times it lacks depth. With that being said, "Save Tonight" truly is a diamond in the rough for late 1990s pop rock, it's catchy but it doesn't try and wrap itself in unintentional cheesiness that a lot of softer pop rock artists were shooting for.
its got some really great moments and is cohesive as a project, but kinda fails to interest me at too many points
While "Save Tonight" was the big hit from this album, the rest of this album is filled with decent to good songs, the pick of the remainder being "Shooting Up in Vain"
