I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this album. This album is considered the album where Eagles hit rock bottom in terms of quality. But I really enjoyed this album, when I kind of expected to dislike it since the band went the Pop Rock route abandoning their Country/Folk Rock roots. Nothing really blows you out the water, but this album was insanely consistent for a Pop Rock album

This is a solid record by the Eagles and I really enjoyed when a saxophone was used to fill out the sound.
There’s definitely a wide range in quality here. Some tracks feel like genuine hits, while others come across more like filler to round things out.
Still, it’s pretty impressive they managed to pull this together at all, considering the band was basically falling apart during the sessions.
Quite possibly one of the biggest surprises I've had in a while in terms of music albums. I pretty much went through the most famous days of Eagles, including Hotel California, so I was expecting The Long Run to be an album when the band starts to decrease in quality and so on. But no, instead, this album was a really enjoyable classic rock treat for me, and I like the diversity of songs here!
