I found the album a bit boring and plain overall but it definitely has some sweet tracks on it that keep it from being a total loss. They are experimenting with a slightly harder rock edge while still clinging to their folk roots which results in a bit of an identity crisis.
This is an Eagles album where they simultaneously try to keep their previous style and adapt a harder rock sound. It just doesn't really work, does it? Well, I guess it could work, but this album isn't an example on how it is done. The first half especially, that one just doesn't do it for me, but I guess there are some better things to look forward to on the second side of the album.

I probably won't be revisiting too often, but it was a good chill listen to say the least. Loved songs like Already Gone, On The Border, James Dean (sorry Gracie), and Is It True?. Not really much to say of it, just good.
