Underrated, this is a slightly different approach from Califone with more of a trad electric guitar feel which I actually welcome alongside their usual 'glitchy & scratchy' experimentation.
Califone are one of the most underrated music makers on the planet. Their output in the early 2000’s was equal to fellow windy city dwellers Wilco and heralded East Coast acts like the National. Like the Walkmen, they consistently delivered, and were consistently ignored.
