though this album isn't as good as what would come on transaction de novo, it still holds its own with some really impressive tracks. the talent bedhead had was undeniable and this really was the step they took toward greatness

The guitar sounds really nice throughout all the tracks, but some of the early ones feel a bit too one-note for my taste, like the title track that opens the album. It's almost four minutes of pretty monotonous singing, and then a minute and a half of beautiful guitar and twinkling sounds. This happens in a few other tracks too, where they're just too dull. don't really know what could be said about this one since almost every point from my "whatfunlifewas" review applies to it as well. except maybe this time it's a bit more post-rock leaning. still fascinated as to how effortlessly they seemed to hit the nail on the head when it comes to slowcore. like this is a blueprint record for the genre, no less.
