As long as you forget that you’re listening to the star of Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, it actually sounds pretty cool.
Nick Jonas is at its best when Jonas plays it straight, when he relies on his eternal Prince and Stevie Wonder fixations, which give him not only a fairly rich palette to draw from but provide him with a good direction to channel his melodic skills.
Another album where I'm somewhat surprised it's in the yellow - especially with how good the track ratings are.
This album has some stellar pop production and Nick has an incredible voice. I found that he was the better Jonas singer when I heard the trio performing on an episode of SNL recently (an old episode, but one I personally watched recently).
