[Album of the Day Challenge: Day 2]

I MASSIVELY underestimated this one! 76? Nah you stupid dum dum! This is killer in the BEST WAY! There's some really amazing parts on here, like the ballroom sample with that KILLER drum beat. Where did you get these drums man? They're great! They help to add this killer atmosphere that makes it feel like you're in a haunted house and eerie things are happening all around you.

I will say, that the 6-7 minute mark kinda drags a little bit with it's toned ... read more
Damn, what a fucking ride that was! That was seriously one of the most impressive pieces of music I've heard coming from a fellow AOTY user. I'm a huge sucker for anything with a dark atmosphere, and this EP successfully created just that so well that it genuinely sounds like something that could fit in a soundtrack for a mind-fuck horror movie. This reminds me a lot of my favourite ambient artist, Set Fire To Flames (which I saw was one of the inspirations) if they made a hip-hop inspired ... read more
I’ve always been honest with AOTY users about their music projects, so this won’t be any different.

And the length is absolutely perfect. ... read more

I would like to preface this by saying I am by no means an expert in instrumental hip hop, or even just hip hop in general. I generally like the genre, but I am far more well-versed in aggressive types of music.

With that out of the way, I can safely say this is a solid first outting from Bart. The sampling is utilized masterfully, creating a bleak, yet strangely beautiful atmosphere. A lot of the time you feel as though you're actually *in* the song; you ... read more
