Beyond excited to finally be sharing this.

For years, I've always had an obsession with anything space-themed or space-related. I guess it's always been a form of escape. Naturally, this has become a theme in my music, and I feel that that sense has never been stronger than on this project.

I've never made a real effort to create a cohesive project prior to this, and I'm quite pleased with the results. I've taken many drawn from many different production inspirations, styles, and forms of ... read more

The auditory equivalent of those images from the 80s that tried to depict what the future would look like.

As beautiful as it is simple and effortless.

It's albums like this and m b v that really prove how shoegaze is only getting better as production progresses through the years. These are some of the best-sounding albums I've heard, and while m b v was much more of an experiment through different styles that were hit and miss for me, this might be some of Slowdive's best material.

Similar to some of Radiohead's latest material, you can really tell that this is the sound of a band that has been ... read more

tons of potential on display.

a really cool mix of genres here. the long intro and build here emanate a pretty dark tone and really set the song up for its payoff, which is this neat little mix of industrial and shoegaze. to add to that, LUCY's voice is pretty enjoyable, and while the production in some places could use a bit more polishing, it's a really neat single worth checking out, and I look forward to seeing what else LUCY will be putting out.

What gives?

Insanely infectious hooks, noisy and energetic instrumentals, and an EXTREMELY uplifting mood that some might find to be too much at times. For me, this is 37 minutes of near-perfect pop music. Like a direct injection of dopamine. In no way is this just another average-but-forgettable pop album like the rating might suggest. This definitely won't be for everyone, but I think it's absolutely worth everyone's time to give this a try.

Standouts: What D'You Say?, Waking the Jetstream, ... read more

Such an incredibly easy listen, and the instrumentation is done so well that I've found myself coming back to this several times over. Country music, please take some notes from this!!

Standouts: Green Shadows, In Light of Us, Vaguely Satisfied, Tomorrow Never Comes

I'm bored and so decided to make another community list; this time,

What is a record you believe has defined its genre albeit through exemplifying its sound, shaping said genre, or has established said genre in popularity and/or existence, and why?

Yeah I've doing alright, pandemic hit quite hard but I'm getting to the point where things make sense again. Haven't been as active as I used to be, logged in to pay my respects to SOPHIE because she deserves that. Working on some music, might share some in the near future

To anyone still stumbling across my profile, this is now just an archive of all the stuff I like to some degree and feel like I can quanitfy. The ratings are still pretty inaccurate to my thoughts now; will be updating when I get around to it. The full archive of what I listen to can be found on my RYM account 'cosmilk'.

Have a great day everyone. :)
