didn't blow me away as much as their debut, but it's still some damn good melodic tech death
thanks @PickleMann for the rec, i rarely listen to recs so know that you have great taste lol. the fretless bass was wonderful here, forest is a beast. i didnt love the production, it felt too polished. songwriting also went into the technical wankery side of tech death on occasion. great album overall
Trying too hard to be Obscura, Necrophagist and Archspire hurts this album almost as much as the sterile production, resulting in nothing nearly as memorable as on debut ‘The Aura.‘
Frustrating and aimless, this album is forgettable, boring, and entirely detached from the debut’s strengths. No matter how much of its signature parpy bass Beyond Creation sprinkle atop this imitator.
