"Churn" gets it started, a short and ferocious track, sharp traditional riffing as thunderous blasts carry it through. Love the straightforward brutality on this one, a little old school but all the way extreme. Solid start.
"Undying Spear" has some cool guitars to begin, I like the wind in the background as well as it plucks along. Just before the minute mark the electricity hits, continuing its build. Sharp and a little zany once it starts blasting during the verses. ... read more
A vicious and furious release. The vitriol on the vocals makes the band rise to the occasion. Even though the album is a shorter listen and does not outstay it's welcome... It gets a bit same-same toward the end. Ulthar has a brand of black metal that is high octane and like a precision blade.
