Based on some singles and features I had heard, I was excited to hear what BLCKK had to offer on his own. Sadly, though, from this effort, things don't look too promising for me. "22101" serves some of the most generic and bland production and vocals I have heard in a long time. I don't know why BLCKK decided to combine aggressive yelling with a melodic sound, but it doesn't work for me. All the good songs are saved by catchy hooks, besides ''SELF HARM'', that is saved by Biv. Most songs here melt together, thanks to BLCKK doing the same thing on every track, and the beats feeling all too similar to each other. This guy should stop making the most bland generic things of all time, maybe he'd be good. I mean he does have OPTICS, which is a massive improvement from this, I just don't understand why it seems like he wasn't even trying.
