This is such a charming album with really entertaining production. It's really a concoction of genres and sounds, even though it's only really 4 songs but I actually really like the bitesize nature of it. The experience is quick, of course, but I'd rather this explosive, finely crafted, very busily produced sound rather than something stretched out with songs that just miss. Also PEAK album cover.
I'm shocked such a mainstream pop album is actually good. Everything about it has personality, the production, lyrics, performances, even just the cover art. Last song's the only reason I'm not giving it a green score I can't lie.
The way they go from releasing something great to something mid so fast, and so consistently, is very impressive
Man, this album quite a bit better than I formerly recognized. The songs are just so well written, even though they're about a very fantastical concept they're actually very relatable if you allow for some creativity and filling in the blanks. Most of the time they don't sound like they're songs about bugs at all, they sound like realistic scenarios a person could find themself in.
