Surprised this isn’t in the top 500 albums of all time.

It feels like a mix of Out to Lunch by Eric Dolphy, The Inner Mounting Flame by Mahavishnu Orchestra, and Bitches Brew by Miles Davis. It has that wild, chaotic energy, but it never feels random — there’s enough structure to keep you locked in the whole time. Randomly discovered through my 'Discover Weekly', it seems that I am returning to my roots.

My surprise was palpable once I noticed the lukewarm reception this record has gotten on this website, and I had to wonder if I was the only one who had really listened to the thunderous and enrapturing combination of avant-garde jazz's instrumental complexity and vocal jazz's ability to express emotional depth.
