Mase's return to the rap game was nothing short of a disappointment. Besides Welcome Back and the Diddy track, this album really offers nothing. It's just Double Up, but worse. Far worse. Mase's attempts at singing go undeniably wrong and he sounds bored on more than half of the tracks. You'd think the poster boy of the shiny suit era would have a grander return to the rap game than this, but oh well.
It got some bangers, first 2 tracks are classics and its clean so easy to play around anyone. Some of the singing is eh and the beats sometimez arenr the best but overall pretty good come back album from the harlem legend
Favs: welcome back, breathe stretch shake, i owe, harlem lullaby
Why TF does Ma$e always sound bored when he raps. Breathe, Stretch, Shake is such a high-octane beat but his delivery clashes so hard with the beat; it just doesn't work. But literally only the first two tracks are somewhat substantial. I kid you not, the rest of this album is boring rapping over some of the cheapest beats available. It's so painfully mid that this entire album leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Diddy strikes again.
