Making an argument for this as one of the most overlooked albums in the great 'Indie Sleaze' pantheon. Datarock's first album was filled with silly innuendo-laden indie disco tunes which was charming enough but this takes the band's goofy wit and squares that with a newly-developed nose for great, succinct pop songwriting via some heavy influence from Talking Heads and Thomas Dolby amongst other 80s new-wave greats.
