Implicit Doom has finally released this album after many delays, and it definitely proves to be his strongest to date. After I had heard the Graffiti single, I had hopes for this thing which I thought wouldn't be fulfilled, especially after hearing the other two singles which honestly felt like a bit of step backwards. Souls For Breakfast
I like the timbre of the synthline, but it has a certain cheapness to it that I don't like. Also that bassline sounds super awkward until the drums come in and it finds its pocket. It is mixed way too loud though. The guitar loop is awful though. It sounds out of tune and the chorus effect sounds really bad with it. Honestly it reminds me of my Pretty Things era music haha. As with any proper Self-Titled release Implicit Doom is really making a statement about the direction and quality in their music going forward
The first thing to note is how much better the production seems to be across the board, not just Carbomb which has help from Reno Schroeder.
