Thin Lizzy ended their career with a bang. The metal sound fits really well, especially with John Sykes being involved. His guitar playing here is so fricking good, the second best guitarist they ever had. Top 5 Thin Lizzy

This is a bit of a different direction for Thin Lizzy, and it's odd to see them do this just for their final album. Rather than making hard rock, Thunder And Lightning is a traditional metal album, and it breathes a new life into the band. The guitars shred away at the soloes while Phil roars in a way he never has before.
