There is something oddly soothing and relaxing about Moonfire, the debut album for Australian indie-folk band Boy & Bear. Mixing rhythmic melodies and a sound derived from Mumford and Sons, the band crafts an album filled with joyful, easygoing folk-rock tunes. They serve very little new or exciting in the somewhat narrow genre, but their knack of mixing sing-along lyrics with catching and varying melodies help make their debut a listen worth to check out.
