I am still in awe just digesting the fact that I listened to such a perfectly curated album made by musicians from some of my favorite bands. Something about it just feels celebratory to me. The first two tracks are right away my favorite songs on the album. Such a warm and welcoming streak of songs that is also full of adrenaline. my main concern was Christian trying not to sound too much like Slowdive. if this doesn't have his signature guitar sound, then what's the point. thankfully, he navigated that hazard brilliantly, and we get a surfeit of the bright ringing tones that we love so much. what we end up with is a competent set of poppy shoegaze songs punctuated by drums that sound like the Flaming Lips. that's because the drummer is Matt Duckworth from the Flaming Lips. it was an enjoyable listen but it didn't send ... read more

Second listen and It’s great to hear Shoegaze slowly evolving and showing up in different ways/projects and this ‘supergroup’(hate to drop this in) is a perfectly suited match with all of the beautiful and modern guitar ambience of Slowdive and the ever quirky Flaming Lips feels.

This is Beachy Head and the dark vocal themes that sit just nicely in the mix somehow feel unthreatening as the warmth of the music fills the void. Brilliantly concise with a running time of just 28 ... read more

The production on this LP is great and the instrumentals overshadowed the vocals. It got repetitive quickly though
