I have heard this band's newest album when it came out and I wasn't a fan at all, I will go as far as to say that it was one of the weakest releases of last year. This one is a massive improvement on all fronts, but I don't like it as a project still. It has some cool songs, but most of them are much longer then they have any right to be. It’s kinda just the same song seven times in a row. To be fair the song is really good but listening to the whole album was just really tiring for me, especially being over an hour long. 1-5 is prolly my standout track simply for its heavier sound.

Darkspace, this band and this album are my very first exposure to atmospheric black metal, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This album and this band come fully formed into what their vision is to be. They really hit that cold, cosmic feeling, using a combo of synths and samples and typical black metal tropes. Fucking dark as shit. Kinda like the soundtrack to your deepest, worst nightmares in a sense. Just... raw, crude untamed energy. Probably my favourite ambient black metal project of all time at this point.

Love this to bits.
