Gotta say, while yeah I think this is quite an impressive change of pace of what we've seen Jacob do in their past work and a more than welcomed one, it's also one that doesn't quite stick around with me as it should, and it's quite sad because I'm a sucker of this kinda stuff but something about it just doesn't work as I'd want it to, and it bothers me. I think. The drums lack the punch I associate with this dreamy breed of indie-rock and the guitar riff in the intro is not developed nearly enough to go on for as long as it does. However when this song get's going it really get's going. Reminiscent of Sam Rays project with it's heavily reverbed vocals, lofi ambient sounds and stringscapes that swirl around you. A beautiful exciting debut from With Purpose but one that leaves room for improvement and a little to be desired.
