This was really fun, a very easy album to listen to. It has grooves and is an extremely pleasant experience.

I'm glad I got to hear Phish without knowing about the general disdain they are held in by a lot of the music world. They are certainly 'lame' in a way that should have been commercial suicide in the early 90s, edgeless, clean and much more interested with long instrumental passages than grit or power, they are opposite to grunge.

This is one of my favorite albums of all time. Extremely fun and Zappa-esque, at times it sounds like what you'd get if you hired a prog band to create the soundtrack for a children's movie. In that sense they invoke playful and goofy bands like Ween, but with more complex, jazzy arrangements.
