When Game does decide to retire, it should be at a time where he no longer needs to validate his legacy. Game can’t leave rap alone now, but his transition from trendsetter to trend hopper makes it seem like he’s chasing rather than leading.

This album, the Compton rapper’s eleventh, is full of contradiction, is far too long, and adds nothing to his legacy. It’s not a complete write-off, but if it achieves anything, it seems to highlight how deluded Game can be.

You know why 30 songs in a logic album 'Vinyl Days' work?
Because they are 1 or 2 minutes long, so you can't get bored, and logic make some silly skits like Nardwar, and it works. Then you are curious what logic will do next and encourage you to listen. In the game situation, there is nothing like that, just bad, bland songs that make you want to close this album quickly. While I don’t think this album is exactly good, it definitely gets a bit too much hate. There is zero reason for this album to be two hours long and some of the features as well as Game’s own performances sound really phoned in but there’s a really good 15 song album in here shuffled through the tracklist.
