In the end, the thing that brings the album down is that its instrumental pieces seem to lack the same direction as the ones on previous Gastr Del Sol records.

The cover, while having an appealing palette, always kinda put me off to this cuz well… it’s just a weird baby lol. But regardless of that, I’ve always found Jim O'Rourke to be an interesting sounding guy, especially as a person who was in one of my favorite bands, that being Sonic Youth. Yeah, so this cover is really fucking weird and had initially led me to believe this album would be much more of an absurdist. psychadelic experience. Turns out it's actually not really absurdist, and has some really beautiful art pop sounds that I definitely enjoyed. Jim O'Rourke definitely is up there when listing the most talented musicians I've been exposed to. But the album cover...

Agradable, aunque no tan espectacular como imaginaba. Claro que se nota el talento de Jim, pero en general el álbum se me fue como una escucha linda, acompañándome en la cotidianidad, aunque sin llegar a ser lo suficientemente llamativo como para volver a él en el futuro.
