My thoughts on this album are almost the opposite of my thoughts on “Slow Train Coming”. This album is not as angry and confrontational as that one. In fact, it’s happy. The lyrics are cheesy, to be sure. However, does most gospel music have less cheesy lyrics? I honestly don’t know.

So, Saved shows Dylan dive further into the Christian rock/gospel sound that made Slow Train Coming such a disappointment, and we get what many have noted to be one of his all-time worst albums. The harmonica solo at the end of "What can I do for you?" may be my favourite moment of music of all time.
Another underrated dylan album, I definitely prefer his more bluesy/electric music. Best song: solid rock
I'm not much of a religious type, but Bob Dylan really takes the cake here when it comes to poorly written christslop. Also, according to the album cover, the hand of God is white??? I'm not sure there were too many white guys in 1st-century Palestine...
