Expectations ran high for the band's first long-player, but, luckily, Flyleaf's self-titled debut full-length doesn't disappoint.

All in all, while it gets to drag on a bit (which is a slight problem, especially when your album is only 33 minutes long), Flyleaf is a very strong debut.

Lacey Sturm... [holy] shit.

Lacey has a vocal style that just... blows my mind every time I hear it. Her energy is NUCLEAR on 'I'm So Sick', it's menacing, she says, "You tremble at this sound." She's not just saying that to the person she's sick of, she also knows that the listening experience is one of a kind. I don't think she ever tapped into this energy again.
