REPULSIVE is an artist like none other - one that can capture the dark sense of liminal dread mixed with a distressing, yet cozy sense of nostalgia in its perfect form. There aren't many artists out there whomanage to nail this hard to describe, but super specific emotional state this well, and their electronic ambient approach to the vibe is truly without paralel.

This is a huge dark drone album that makes sure to really put every note and sound that it uses to work. I've already revisited this a couple times. I often search for these dark minimal drone ambient records specifically for background at night, and man this hits the spot.
(I found this artist through the Mr. Incredible becoming uncanny meme.)
