At first glance, Bright Flashes looks like the kind of post-contractual odds-and-ends compilation that even a diehard fan might shelve next to their scratched promo CDs and tour-exclusive 7-inches. B-sides, covers, remixes—it’s the kind of thing most bands put out with a shrug and a hope that someone, somewhere, still owns a Discman.
