To me, this is the holy grail of 90s metalcore, 32 minutes of nothing but fat grooves and aggressive hardcore vocals, yet it manages to be relatively hooky throughout. It's reminiscent of Helmet, only turned up to eleven, and as much as I love that band, the increased aggression here appeals to me even more. This slaps so damn hard that it’s not even funny. The drums are pummeling, the vocalist’s lung capacity is ridiculously high, and every riff goes harder than Waka Flocka Flame when he’s in the mf paint and he leaves you stankin, after which he asks you what the f you were thankin.

That snare is a bit painful but the record as a whole is everything you could've asked for in an early Metalcore record: Raw anger, fierce riffs with punchy instrumentation and ass whooping breakdowns

Kinda surprised how little attention this gets, cause gotDAMN!!!

Brief Review: “Progression Through Unlearning” is some damn good metalcore with a powerful message to boot. Amazing riffs and instrumentation, the vocalist is absolutely INSANE, the dudes capacity is actually wild on some tracks, and just the entire thing has this super good presentation to it.
