Really unique blend of psych pop with idm, downtempo and a bunch of other niches under the edm umbrella. For years Swardy has entered and left my radar, always with consistent quality, and this debut reaffirms that. His strongest statement yet - a project that's more than the sum of its genres/influences, i.e. it breaks the wheel (albeit gently and in a cute kinda way). I'd dare to say it's the best album of 2022 so far.
Swardy is a creative genius, there is no doubt about it. Everything from his music to accompanying visuals makes him an artist to always be on the watch for. And now with the release of his debut album, he's proving to pave a path for himself in the music world, albeit a niche one. I’m returning to this album in full for the first time in at least a year and a half, and man am I loving it even more. On first listen there were songs I loved, Compact Objects, Cold Man and You Belong / Built Myself, but i remember that feeling of wish he went a little further with this album. Gotta say I’ve completely flipped on that.
