Woe is, for the most part, an album of incredible consistency and great vision, that is both well written and beautifully executed. Everything you hope for and expect from that cover art is here in spades.
Not often do you hear a flawless progressive metal record, as it's a genre plagued by the obsession with technicality that never goes beyond instrumental wankery. Yet another contender for 2022 AOTY, great stuff in here. I can hear some BTBAM influence quite clearly, in a good way. The sound is so massive, might be one of the best produced albums of all time. These Swedes know what they're doing!

This is incredible, Woe has an amazing expansive and atmospheric sound, and every track makes sense on the general sound and emotion of the album, I love how the entire album feels like a long track. This album harmonizes the heaviness of some death metal parts and elements, for example, on Slaves, with the long passages that create a beautiful atmosphere. One of the best modern prog albums I've ever heard.
