Distorted Sound
No-one in their right mind would dare predict what the next 12 months might have in store, but if you consider yourself a fan of all things bleak and devastating then you would do well to keep this record well within reach for the year to come and beyond.

Massive sounding metal album. Large sounding guitar chords, Fuzzy basslines, and eerie single string melodies create an atmospheric feel that sets the stage for the album. Drums sound punchy and deep creating dark sounding rhythms. Vocals consist of pained shouts and low reverberated singing. Songs themselves move at a sludgy mid-tempo pace while pushing along a dark sounding and atmospheric feel. What a mix between a post-metal instrumental and piercing vocals. At some point in some song they remind me of Gojira, and that's always a good sign for me. My album of the year for now.

This post metal was made dreary and epic through interesting melodic tension. Entrancingly bleak. The vocals have urgency as they get spat out whilst the wallowing guitars steep in their own atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed 'Hyperion', 'Leaden Silence', and 'Lack'.
