good noise rock / post-hardcore album from this year! i enjoyed the various ways the guitars are crafted, and the vocals are very odd, but intriguing. if i had a con, maybe Wrong Dream dips a little in quality near the end? but even then, the tracks are still solid as fuck.

Shrunk on me a lot, it’s all great, but doesn’t really standout this year as much as the first few listens.
Some damn good noise rock, tight playing all road, from heavy drums to distorted guitars. Passionate delivery. At times heartbreaking. It’s kind of what I expect, but that is amazing since all the noise rock I have heard so far is just amazing. This was all consistently done at a high level though. Making it one of my favorite releases so far this year
Tunic follows the tried and true noise rock formula on Wrong Dream: despondent vocals, crushing drums, and a guitar tone that sounds like it’s seen some shit. Sure it sounds a bit like KEN Mode in their sludgier era, but it’s unique enough to warrant some attention.
The vocals on this album range from semi spoke word reminiscent of Dara Kiely of Gilla Band, and the unhinged screams of KEN mode’s Jesse Matthewson. It’s a solid mix, and the vocalist does bring a unique ... read more
