Starts off feeling like you are traveling around inside the wiring of an old computer, and as you slowly recover bits of old files, the album slowly starts to turn into a Boards of Canada -like fever dream. A very enjoyable experience that has warranted quite a few revisits these past few weeks, and an album that has me excited to dive into the rest of Ovals discography.
Well this was surprisingly enough better than 94 Diskont, to me at least of course.. Systemisch is the follow up album to 94 Diskont from Oval. And it was really good! It’s another Glitch and Ambient album that’s extremely well textured. The glitched out ambience is done very well on here and brings a lot to love about this one. "Textuell" is the song featured in that sensual "Acqua Di Gio" cologne commercial from Giorgio Armani from the early 2000's - I am so happy to have finally found that song after so many years!
