"Song Machine" is, even as a concept, a bundle of great tunes, but not necessarily a complete album experience. "Cracker Island" was a chance to prove they still had the ability to create great albums, but sadly it turned out to be somewhat of a dud. As such, expectations weren't particularly high... But "The Mountain"... is great!

It's been a while since i last visited this band - used to listen to them quite a bit back when Cult Drugs released. Returned recently and checked out their newest release here..... And i am having a bad time. They do deliver intense energy through most of the record, but many of these tracks felt quite redundant and the new vocalist has quickly become grating to me. En virkelig solid opfølger til Storbyens Små Oaser. Og på trods af at Computer Charlie er blevet en mere relaterbar fyr efter jeg er blevet voksen og startet fuldtid, så er det CV's spydige humor, der gør særligt denne periode af Hr. Jørgensens diskografi til noget særligt.
I am pretty sure i think this is an improvement from their last record.....not certain, it has been a while and i have obviously not returned to that piece of shit since.
It's really interesting how they try to stick to a grindcore album structure while throwing so many different elements and ideas into the mix at the same time. It's an eclectic listen, but does result in a couple ideas feeling not fully explored. I do love the ambition though, and I've found that it gives the album immense replay value.
