Quit digging Em, your grave is deep enough already!!

There are certainly parts of this album that i can enjoy if i completely ignore the lyrics and try hard delivery. From an instrumental and prodcution standpoint, it's certainly better than revival. But it's a lot of hard work trying to ignore the flaws in this album.

Staring out the window of the almost empty appartment i can barely afford, drinking strong black coffee and spinning Burzum on the record player.

Rae Morris really deserves some of that Carly Rae Jepsen love.

"Someone Out There" is a great record that isn't trying to be something it isn't and not really trying to push many musical boundries or mix in too many elements from other styles or genres, but instead has a keen focus on what works within the genre, and plays to the strengths that electropop offers. The hard clash of pop, electronic and metal makes some truly ugly car crashes. Oversaturated production makes the guitars loose all grit, the agressive nature of the music with the "cute" vocals and pop flairs are just a mess. "Concrete" being the worst offender to me. Genres aren't done justice either. It's like a buffet of Sh*t. The average Five Finger Death Punch Riff is more exiting than these.

And it's all too edgy and gimmicky for my taste.

I suppose can ... read more
