Its processed sound and weak songs sound dated today, especially compared to the lively arena rock the Kinks later released.
One of the more overlooked Kinks' album by their more well known and beloved album, Sleepwalker is a consistent catchy pop rock record and although it can be argued that The Kinks played it quite safe, i love the more slower sound the band provides here and with some strong lyrics, Sleepwalker doesn't come off as boring more portraying more quality songwriting which the band has always provided.

The Kinks’s “return” to Rock features some of their best songs since “Musswel”, some of the greatest performances of their entire career (both instrumentally and vocally).
Favourite Tracks: “Sleepwalker” “Brother” & “Stormy Sky”
One of my favorite from The Kinks, 'Sleepwalker' has unique style and well enforced design to make for an amazing listening experience. The sounds that come from this album are interesting and above all quite enjoyable. This record is just one of those albums that you can listen to from cover to cover and still find new aspects to enjoy about it. All around, this record is a blast and a wonderful listening experience and I would recommend!
