Ah yes, I love taking the slightest bit of enjoyment out of a bored-sounding man saying edgy gore and sex buzzwords with only slight volume and little aggression in his unflattering Swedish accent, over sloppy instrumentals featuring shitty flat production, and the same mind-numbing riffs consisting of two power chords repeating for the entire 4-7 minutes of each song. Even ignoring the lyrics, the album just isn't very good. The songs drag on for too long, the instrumentals are repetitive —in a bad way— and the vocalist is fucking annoying.
i think the most important thing to mention with Obey is that, lyrically, this is not for the weak. the reason this has a whopping 52/100 (as of the the time i write this) is because the lyrics are a turn-off.
