A good bit of fun with a ton of problems.

8485's new EP of glitchy, industrial, hyperpop music is something to hear for sure. From the interesting production and vocals to the glitchy sound collage bits, the project is paced well, I never found myself bored, but that certainly doesn't mean I love everything on here. goreblog is a disjointed opener that would benefit from going in a lot harder, but I actually do really like the abstract drone idea presented. 1. Goreblog (5/10) - Kinda messy and didn’t really work as well as it prob should’ve tbh. Prob one of the more boring songs shes made, it’s really not that great.

2. Something bad (7/10) - Pretty good hyperpop banger, even if its a bit derivative of some other songs 84 has made before. Either way, I still really like this one, it’s a good lil banger, def one of the best songs on here.

Software Gore starts okay with some experimental ideas that could be explored in a much bigger picture but what she did here is not memorable, not good, and annoying with how she just decided to go being experimental just for being experimental direction.
Production is interesting and 8485 could do a lot more with this epic collage sound but she just released 3 meh tracks with unnecessary interlude.

This EP actually massively jumped for me on relisten, especially because I enjoy the outro track now (whilst it is albeit improvable, it certainly isn't the awful mess that I remembered)
Overall, this EP is nicely structured for a 9 minute listen, and it definitely has grown on me.
