While my initial thoughts led me to believe this was going to be a totally crushing and dark experience, Hell delivers what I could describe as something that almost completely fullfills these initial expectations, but doesn't quite reach them. One of the best doom metal albums I have ever heard. Like trying to wade through a swamp of entrails with hot nails scraping the bottom of your feet. Punishing, engaging, and I didn't want it to end.
