Freaks is a record that’s sure to make people sit up and listen, and if this is just the beginning then there’s no guessing what Avralize have in store for the future. More saxophone? We can only hope so.
This is pretty derivative of a lot of modern metalcore bands with djent style riffs from bands like Polaris, Windwaker, and While She Sleeps. I can think of at least a few tracks that sound exactly like the song "CANVAS" This album also features a lot of djent sections that sound like it's parodying "Animals As Leaders." The longer this album went on the more annoying and repetitive it got.
Yeah this does cover every metalcore trope I can think of. But its still executed good enough that I can't deny a few hooks are stuck in my head and some breakdowns had me headbanging. And besides the tropes this genuinely felt a bit more colorful and plain fun, relatively speaking.

While I was really excited and really fucking with this album when it first came out, as time went on, I never see myself coming back to it ever. The record is an overproduced/quantized copy of many other bands. While some ideas were executed pretty well, some of the songs are more annoying to me than appealing.
