This definitely should’ve been bigger than what it was. Amazing progressive psychedelic rock record.
Favorite Tracks: Surfin Safari, County Fair, Little Girl (Miss America), & Cuckoo Clock
Didn’t expect to like this as much as I did, this record was catchy as hell. “traitor”,”deja vu”,”happier”, and “hope ur ok” have to be my favorite tracks, she has a great voice and the music on this isn't the most complex but it’s very enjoyable.
I feel like the production on some songs held them back, but other than that this record is really worth checking out
The first 3 tracks were generic, sounds like a stereotypical old rock band making music that they think sounds innovative but it’s merely just background music.
Although I do have some positives about this album, including the following. I liked Waiting On A War, No Son Of Mine, & Chasing Birds, I would say those are the only songs I saved but I could probably delete either the first 2. Great follow up record that may not be as hard hitting as the first, but Grian shows he can change up his style.
The only problem I have with this record is the vocals, it’s not my style. I’ll give this a listen later on sometime this year, maybe my mind will change.
