PARTYNEXTDOOR - $ome $exy $ongs 4 U
30

Creatively bankrupt with usual poor lyrics and production when it should have all the resources in the world. PARTYNEXTDOOR somehow made this more boring. Worst album to date Drake has made that isn't named 'Honestly Nevermind'.

FKA twigs - EUSEXUA
80

FKA Twigs continues on her path of amazing albums returning with her most bold production and vocal inflections to date. Although some don't stick the landing, most of them flourish with a generally more electronic feel than works previous works.

Mac Miller - Balloonerism
80

A very good posthumous album. Even in the parts that felt incomplete, things still fit naturally. Not quite as good as Circles, but this explored chapters of Mac's career to seemingly end a book affectively.

Ethel Cain - Perverts
75

Although this is too long for it's own good at numerous points, everything feels so immersive and brilliantly ambient. The creativity chilling lyricism and world building is fantastic and I respect Ethel as a mind more then ever.

I think Te Mata is really good and Peso Pluma’s song is one to seek. Outside of those works in my opinion I don’t believe there’s a lot of substance or anything of note. Even to my understanding those who speak spanish can say that the depth to this project is lacking. I would say her weakest studio album to date.

21 Savage - american dream
71

This project shows more growth in 21 Savage as a person then we've heard up to this point. Very retrospective and displaying maturity but simultaneously keeping enough of the older versions of himself present to still enjoy what you're tuning in for. Although very sample heavy and drawn out at points, I still feel like the production and features do enough to help 21 Savage shine at his high points and also look presentable at some of his weaker points.

Kid Cudi - INSANO
46

Other than a good song with ASAP Rocky and Blue Sky towards the back end, not much else on this album develops without being tedious or monotonous. Nothing outright horrible but another forgettable Cudi album in the latter stages of his career.

Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine & The Alchemist - Hall & Nash 2: The Original Version
62

Other than a few bangers in Fork In The Pot & 94 Ghost Shit, I felt like it was mostly solid work from there on out. The Alchemist & Conway did great but Westside Gunn seemed to drag songs down for me.

Metaroom - OXIDIZED ARCHIVE
61

There are some pretty good songs on here such as Cloudswallower but I didn’t feel gravitated to anything particular on this thing.

結束バンド [kessoku band] - 結束バンド [Kessoku Band]
71

Very consistent standard sounding J-Rock cuts with many songs blending together sounding a bit too similar. I did love the opening track however, and there isn’t a miss on here.

OAC - The Blissful Sounds of Miracula
53

There’s a lot of potential here. I really like the ability to create a blissful atmosphere and some of the transitions from song to song are so satisfying. However, I do believe the production can be branched out further to create different ideas and soundscapes from track to track. I look forward to another project to see the what OAC is capable of.

Jack Harlow - Come Home The Kids Miss You
30

Good production. Jack's more emotionally in touch tracks come across as boring without much substance. There is the occasional corny bar here and there but ultimately there isn't much to grasp onto with this one.

King Von - What It Means To Be King
55

A;though there are good songs, there are filler songs. There are good features but also forgettable features. There was nothing on this album that stepped out of line from what I expect which is the fact King Von was a capable rapper who can be elevated with great production or collaboration.

Beach House - Once Twice Melody
80

Although there are lulls and sometimes filler tracks to justify putting this out in 4 chunks. I believe everything sonically embodies actually what you would hope for.

$NOT - Ethereal
50

Although I do like that this does categorize as experimental in some cases, I felt there was nothing else to sink my teeth into. Everything on this reeks of lack of creative direction other than some productive that seems like it was picking apart the popular trends of the genre today and meshing them and hoping something sicks. Sadly though, I believe nothing does or will.

Saba - Few Good Things
60

Everything is good here but nothing I couldn't here from someone else. The features all fit well and Saba feels like he's working with them rather than the other way around.

Amber Mark - Three Dimensions Deep
65

The productive here stands out but rarely does anything else jump out at me

AURORA - The Gods We Can Touch
85

Experimental enough to keep me on the edge of my seat for a great payoff for each and every song. A strong poignant voice and to match with inspirations from multiple different sounds make this a must listen.

NLE Choppa - Me vs. Me
15

Sounds like the same NLE Choppa but with significantly worse sounding flows, lyricism, and diversity. Although he shows flashes of some solid stuff, he immediately overshadows it with what seemingly is like every terrible idea he can come up with.

Bonobo - Fragments
75

The instrumentation stands out as engaging and diverse enough to impress on the production. Impressive making a chill atmospheric album feel so engaging without lyrics excluding some positively contributing features.
