Occasionally I'll forget this album exists, then upon rediscovery I'll dog myself for overlooking such a gorgeous album. For anyone who leans against country, I beg you to give this record a listen. Writing it off as just a country record is a true disservice, because it trends well beyond that. Intimate, soulful, psychedelic, bursting with emotion, incredible incredible album.
Muricore is my new favorite genre. Unexplainable perfect record with standout tracks like relaxingboxfanambientsounds no. 3 and ACOWBOYSHEAVYLOAD. Speakers up, hog cranked, gorgeous.
Easily their most ambitious record, and it's up there with their best. Definitely a grower. That beat switch in the moon cave does something to my soul for sure, Big big fan. As a defender of some of their other recent work, I can easily say this is Gorillaz best album since plastic beach, and it's not even remotely close
