Little Simz - Lotus
84

You can feel the care Simz took in the creation of this project. I wouldn't put this as her best work but it's better than most UK hip hop out right now. Since Grey Area she has been one of the most consistent MCs of today. Not as much as an album feel, rather a constant stream of thought. Everything was executed greatly from the production to the lyricism. Even though she is very vulnerable throughout the project I see a new happier Simz emerging. With all the trials and tribulations ... read more

McKinley Dixon - Magic, Alive!
95

Since Kendrick is off making bangers with Mustard I now give you the new king of jazz rap. This isn't going to be beaten for my personal AOTY for 2025. I heard of Dixon from some parts of the AOTY but never fully checked out his music until today. One of the last of a great dying breed if jazz rappers.

Addison Rae - Addison
79

I don't really know the direction she went in her debut project, but it's still an amazing start for her to find that clear vision To improve to make a even more consistent album. Until the last month and a half I pre-labled her as another tik tok influencer turned artist, and I humbly apologize. She has the right people around her to make her a pop superstar, it's just up to her how she navigates her lyricist and steps up in her later work.

yeule - Evangelic Girl is a Gun
81

Whatever the fuck genre this is I'm cool with. It feels more like an esthetic piece than a true art piece but I like it for what it is. I will say her transformation over her few album realiser has been great to watch. To me this is her best project, tbh I don't really get the hate this gets from some corners.

Swans - Birthing
86

Tbh with all the hype I was expecting better. This year looking like a great year for music. I came into this expecting an amazing album and got a great one can't complain too much.

Miley Cyrus - Something Beautiful
82

I've never seen such an artistic message from Miley that comes close to this project. I always new she could make an album like this that moved away from chart toppers and focused on her artistry. Idk what she was talking about with this being "psychedelic" but I love what she did instead.

yeule - softscars
78

Very consistent album all around. Expected better tbh

Swans - The Great Annihilator
85

For the l9ngest time I've been recommended listening to Swans, and now I finally get it. Even though this isn't their best work it's better than a lot other artist's peaks.

Swans - White Light from the Mouth of Infinity
82

This is something different than what I'm used to listening to. Each song is a new sound with a new message. Listening to this I realize I don't like Jarboe.

These New Puritans - Crooked Wing
75

It's a little too gloomy for me to really pay attention to the album. If you couldn't tell that means this is my first listen to TNP.

Stereolab - Instant Holograms On Metal Film
78

It's been 15 years since their last album and sound better than ever. This project showcases Stereolab going back to their roots and doing what they know. Tbh this is not a sit through album, its best to do something like cleaning your room while listening for the best experience.

Lucy Bedroque - Unmusique
75

It's a little out there.

The Callous Daoboys - I Don't Want to See You in Heaven
80

First ever listen of The Callous Daoboys. This is one of the best mathcore I've heard in a while.

billy woods - GOLLIWOG
90

Surprisingly this is my first real time sitting through an entire Billy Woods album. It amazes me how all this trauma and anguish can be translated flawlessly into a project that's less than an hour. The lyrics imply some twisted work of fiction until you realize this is all based an truthfully told by a life that lives with us. I don't know I'd I should call this experiment or traditional because it switches and intertwines both opposites so well. There is no storyteller in the ... read more

Kali Uchis - Sincerely,
92

A strong theme in this album is just what it sounds like, heaven. A stunning and incomparable piece of work from the great Kali Uchis. Don't think I want to wake up from the beautifully dreamy tracks. I'm thoroughly impresses and glad that I finally listened.

PinkPantheress - Fancy That
82

Why is it actually fire af? She probably will be following down this road in the future and I'll be here for it. I love that she got experimental with her sounds while keeping what makes her a stoundout. I'll have this album stuck in my head the rest of this month.

Deftones - Diamond Eyes
87

One of the best Deftones albums. They constantly proved their greatness over and over again. Although I love Chino's voice the real seller lies in the instrumentals and the sounscapes within the tracks. Not a single miss on any of the tracks. This should be considered as one of the best albums of the early 2010s.

Model/Actriz - Pirouette
60

They certainly have a sound.

Flume - We Live In A Society
53

At least they had a fun time making this. I'll give some grace because these tracks were recorded a few years ago.

Car Seat Headrest - The Scholars
87

Never heard anything like this before. This album made ne feel so euphoric through the listening experience. Can't believe I'd rather listen to this Tham a Jpegmafia Ep. This is the coolest story and concept EVER. Meant to listen to their older stuff before this but never got around to listening to them until now. I'm not a long song (6+ minutes) enthusiast but I thoroughly enjoyed the longer tracks.
