I listened to this album on a whim, and frankly it is 44 minutes of pure fun. To start, the beats are consistently fire. On all of the high energy songs, those beats have me MOVING, and they're just as good on the slow tracks. The more mellow moments are some of my favorites on the album, but the hype moments are also really good most of the time. The flows are good a lot of the time, but there are some weak points. The lyricism is also shockingly good at some points, with the more ... read more
Not a whole lot to say about this album, to be honest. After listening to Romance at the start of last year, it didn't really click with me until October. So, I felt it was long overdue that I give this a shot. And it would seem that this is going the same route as Romance, because on first listen, I think it's pretty decent and nothing more. The vibe is definitely a lot different than Romance, with Grian Chatten singing in a much lower register in this album, which I'm not as ... read more
Wow, I'm behind on reviews. I listened to this album a couple weeks ago, and it's probably the most inconsistent album I've ever listened to. The songs have no progression, while also being a bit too basic-sounding. This album really just bored me, however there's a lot of potential here. Chloe Moriondo has made great things, and some of the things that made Blood Bunny so good are still present here (namely lyrics ... read more
This album really surprised me, honestly. The song that inspired me to listen to it was Where I Go, and I expected the album as a whole to be good but nothing particularly impressive or memorable. Boy, was I wrong. MADRA doesn't necessarily do anything life-changing, but it's just a really fun yet emotional listen. Every song here sounds either very pleasant or very fun, or maybe even a mix of both. I get a solid amount of enjoyment out of this entire tracklist, with only a couple ... read more
