once in a while, i come across a piece of art that as a creative, makes me feel
small
all i can ever hope for as a creative is one day i can make art that resonates me as much as jane's sound resonates with me
as soon as psychoboost started, and i started to dive into this project, my initial emotion was overwhelming joy and excitement. i went for a drive for my first listen and i was popping the fuck off in my car,
screaming with joy and excitement followed by ... read more
don’t rate it review singles but making an exception
absolute masterpiece
a year later this album is still in my daily rotation, don’t think i’ll ever love an album as much as i love this one, it’s just so much damn fun

obligatory Triston dickriding Jane Remover/leroy post since her new album is out
This “review” if you can call it that is going to be REALLY unstructured because I just feel the need to incomprehensibly gush about how much I love this record
Jane ditched her hyperpop aesthetics for a full on Shoegaze/Post-Rock album with elements of Harsh Noise tossed in there. It’s fucking tragically beautiful, devastating.
It’s grungy, meditative, gut wrenching, and the way she ... read more

At this point, Metallica sounds like a parody of themselves, and Lars' drumming is more grating than ever. This dude has one rhythm
Bull Believer might just be the best song I will hear all year, I can definitely see the rest of this album growing on me as the year goes on
Is this album overhated? Absolutely
Is it underrated? Absolutely not

I think "VOID" is a fun and lyrically interesting track that definitely stands above the rest, along with the closer on the album, ... read more
While Phoebe's typical genre of indie folk is not normally my cup of tea, Punisher was a very pleasant surprise for me when that record came out a couple of years back. When I found out about this record before it's release, I was excited to hear what it had in store, despite never hearing the solo material of the other two members (Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus).
Unfortunately, this record falls a little flat for me. Reading the reviews for this project, I can tell that I am definitely not the ... read more
Arguably the best thrash metal record of all time. Holy Wars is absolutely timeless and a classic
This album is an absolute blast dude. Unapologetically unique, loud, and aggressive
I really don't get much out of this album anymore, but man did I love this thing when I was like, 14
