While still an amazing record, BROCKHAMPTON proves with this record that they set the bar extremely high with their SATURATION-serie. This record is in some moments a little inconsistent, but brings the most experimental music the group has ever made.
FAV: NEW ORLEANS, TONYA, DISTRICT, SAN MARCOS, WEIGHT, J'OUVERT, FABRIC
LEAST FAV: WHERE THE CASH AT, SOMETHING ABOUT HIM
I don't have a lot to say about this album. It is the best and most heartfelt BROCKHAMPTON album and one of my favorite albums of all time.
FAV: THE LIGHT PT. II, WHAT'S THE OCCASION?, THE LIGHT, DON'T SHOOT UP THE PARTY, BUZZCUT, COUNT ON ME, WHEN I BALL, WINDOWS, CHAIN ON
LEAST FAV (still great btw): DEAR LORD, OLD NEWS
While not a step down from SATURATION II, the third album of the trilogy brings more risk to the table, with unique songs to prove it. It is maybe not as good as the second one, but it still one of the best and most different hip-hop albums I have ever listened to (see: different but still nice on the ears).
FAV: BLEACH, BOOGIE, JOHNNY, TEAM, HOTTIE, LIQUID, SISTER / NATION
LEAST FAV: STUPID, ALASKA
Damn, I forgot how much of a step up this was in comparison to the first SATURATION (not saying the first one was bad btw). Almost every track on here is just amazing, would be their magnum opus if ROADRUNNER didn't exist.
FAV: GUMMY, SWEET, JUNKY, QUEER, SUMMER, FIGHT, JESUS
LEAST FAV: GAMBA, SUNNY
I already listened to this album a long time ago, but it just felt like it was time to revisit the good old BROCKHAMPTON days. I must say it is still really good, BUT i thought it was better in 2017-2018. The tape really has not aged all that great, but some of the tracks are still my favorites of all time.
FAV: FACE, GOLD, WASTE, MILK, BUMP
LEAST FAV: 2PAC, BOYS, BANK
