Everyone has that one album that is mediocre af, but holds a very special place in their heart. And this album is exactly that for me.
I listened to this album two years ago, during what was probably the best period of my life. The message of a lot of these songs on here is about cutting off the bad people in your life and being yourself. Two things which had turned my life around completely during that time. Maybe it's a little cheesy, but it felt like the music was speaking directly to ... read more
I usually don't rate albums I don't like all that much (i just dont like being negative), but I'll make an exception for this one due to one simple reason - there's just so much darn potential.
The only thing keeping this album from being like 3/10 is the title track. That track is sort of a combination between post hardcore and some deftones influence and it sounds HUGE. The composition and production plays really nicely to Jared Leto's insane vocals. I also really ... read more
The music landscape nowadays is completely different from the one in 1974. Tied for my favourite album. This album has gotten better and better with each listen. I used to not even like it a couple of years ago when I first heard it. I was a wee lad and I didn't like anything edgier than Weezer. Slowly I started warming up to it however, and it became my gateway drug to more progressive music. Now that I've listened to it a dozen times, I can safely say that almost every song here is a top 50 song for me. I could talk for hours about every single one. The ... read more
